Collocations: able TO // capable OF

Ambas significan prácticamente lo mismo: capaz de, pero cada una tendremos que usarla con su preposición correspondiente y patrones verbales distintos:

To be ABLE TO + infinitive

To be CAPABLE OF + gerund

I wasn’t able to open the door myself.

I was capable of opening the door myself.
